WELCOME TO ANTELOPE VALLEY HOMESTEAD LAVENDER FARM!
Antelope Valley Lavender Farm is located in the Antelope Valley-the heart of Southern California's high desert-bordered on the south by the San Gabriel Mountains with their ski resorts and north by the Tehachapi range with their famous electricity generating wind mill farms. We are about a one and a half hour drive northeast of Los Angeles.
We are the first lavender farm in the Antelope Valley. We have about 1,000 lavender plants consisting of three varieties- Grosso, Super, and Provence. We are in our second year of growing high quality lavender with plans to grow plants and make products to sell on our website and at local farmer markets. Our plants have been grown with no use of pesticides or fertilizers, and we are in the process of becoming a Certified Naturally Grown Farm.
We will be open to the public seasonally starting in May of 2013 by appointment only. We will be open from the beginning of May through the end of July when the lavender is at its peak growing and blooming season. Our farm will be open for U-pick during this time. At this time of the year, you will find us early in the morning nestled among the plants, breathing in the intoxicating aroma of the lavender, listening to the buzz of bees and the chirping of birds, and taking in the beauty of nature at its best. This is what we call "aromatherapy in the fields".
